Solidarity

We are global citizens. We care.

Lockdown Lounge is free of charge if buddies invite 1 person to donate to one of the listed charities to fight against COVID-19, or sign up as an online volunteer for meaningful causes.

We do not charge anything. All we need is to know that they have supported their chosen charities to help the needy.

"Let all that you do be done in love."

We are all born into this world for a mission - not to eat well, buy clothes or earn money, but to love everyone around us. The meaning of our lives is to spread love, to try our bests to be good and do good. We know the worst and hope for the best.

No matter what country we are from, we are all in this together. People from another corner of the earth is just as important as people in front of you. Love has no boundaries. Set your love free.

Effective Charities we chose

Our buddies can donate to:

A) Doctors Without Borders;

B) 8 World Top charities listed on Givewell.org;

C) Effective Altruism Fund (a donation allocation fund run by experts); or

D) other charities (please seek prior approval from the organizer).

We do not benefit from these charities. We choose them simply because of their relevance and effectiveness to tackle world pressing problems.

1. Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

WHO

MSF responds to the coronavirus emergency on multiple fronts—caring for patients, offering health education and mental health support, and providing training for vital infection control measures in health facilities around the world. MSF is working with local authorities in many of the countries where we have medical projects to help prepare for the impact of COVID-19.

A key priority is to keep our regular medical programs running for the tens of thousands of patients and extremely vulnerable communities we help support. This pandemic threatens the lives of people around the world, and presents even greater risks in countries with weak or fragile health systems.

COVID-19 is just one virus.

Climate change impacts will bring many new illnesses, as we have seen from the spread of the Zika virus.

Are our governments prepared?

Is there a plan in place?

What are the similar pressing problems humanity is facing?

How can we prepare for the future?

What is the most important?

What should we do first?
