Our Vision

To create a world without walls
In this post-truth era, we live in isolated information bubbles. We are polarized not over just values, but also over facts. It is easy to form stereotypes of people, groups or countries and classify them as "others" without knowing our prejudices.

World University Peace Assembly is the world’s first inter-university international platform for cross-cultural friendship and effective altruism.
Our Mission

World University Peace Assembly (WUPA) is an international youth-run, non-governmental, non-profit initiative that connects university students and young professionals from all nationalities together for solidarity, kindness and positive social changes.

We promote world peace by facilitating cross-cultural interactions and promoting effective altruism among university students.

Who We Are

World University Peace Assembly (WUPA), founded in 2020 by students from the University of Hong Kong and the University of Edinburgh,  is politically neutral, non-aligned and non-denominational. It has no political affiliations. We do not represent students of a particular country. WUPA has no affliations with the effective charities recommended to our buddies. We choose them simply because of their effectiveness and relevance to solving world critical issues.
As a team of over 50 youths from different countries, we cooperate with universities, youth organizations and non-governmental organizations worldwide to bridge students from all cultures together.

10 stars out of 10. It’s a great way to make international friends in the given situation, and if it helps with language skills then it’s just a bonus. I love talking with people I’d otherwise have no opportunity to that I can now call friends.
